IN TOO DEEP by Mary Connealy

Audra Gilliland had been married and had small children, when her husband died.  She and her stepdaughter were raising the children, when Julia met a neighbor man, Rafe Kincaid and they married.  Audra felt as if she was interfering in their life, so when Ethan, Rafe's brother, asked her to marry him, she said yes, and they moved to the Kincaid farm.  Along with Ethan, and Rafe, there was Seth, a brother who was a bit addled, after serving in the war.  His memory wasn't great, and though he loved the kids, Audra didn't feel that they were safe with him.
When men started showing up, looking for the money her deceased husband was supposed to have made away with, it put the whole family in danger.  The caves on the property that Julia and Rafe lived on, became a hiding place, even though Ethan was afraid of them, because of what had happened when he was a child, in them.
I really enjoyed this book, though I wasn't too sure when I first received it.  There is a book #1-Out of Control, that tells the story of Rafe and Julia.  And I suspect there will be a #3 that delves into Seth Kincaid, and the secret of his life.  I want to read them when I get a chance.

I was given a free copy of this book by Bethany House Publishing to read and review.  No other compensation was given.  All opinions expressed here are my own, and I am NOT required to give a positive review.
