Thank You to all Veterans

Great Great Grandfather
Andrew Gross,
who served in the Civil War

Joseph Brown
Great Great Grandfather who
served in the Civil War, Union
Officer.
His father, Gamlin Weeks died in
Cassville Missouri
while serving, he was one of the oldest that
is known to have enlisted in the Union Army.

My husband, Jerry, who served 4 years during the Vietnam era
He was never shipped to Vietnam, as his skills were needed elsewhere.

Not a relative, but
one of my Great Great Grandfather's
commanding officers, and one who helped get a pension
for my Great Great Grandmother, after
GGGrandfather's death.

I could go on and on, clear back to the Revolutionary War
and up until today, of the young men in my family who have served honorably in the US military.
THANK YOU
For helping free us
and keeping us free.

Just playin around with wood

All natural, no stain at all on any of the wood.  White Oak with Cherry half moons.
The Cherry will darken to a rich red, in a few months.

Half natural, and one half moon stained with Cherry wipe on stain, then coated with poly.

Both stained with the wipe on stain, then coated with poly.
They are the same color, the light just struck them different when flash went off.

So, what do you think?

The grain on the cherry is much different on the stained one, than on the unstained.

I told the boss we had to get some birdseye maple to make some half moons with, soon.

Another few coats and a few more sandings, and they will be ready to put on the guitar, and strings go on.
Then we'll se how it sounds.

A mouser on our hands.

Yes, I do believe that we have a good mouser on our hands.
This is Booger, about 9 weeks old and fresh from his bath, which he says was NOT given by a momma cat, she wouldn't have put him under a faucet.
He has been bottle fed from the time he was 1 week, when he was abandoned by his mother.

I think I got it,

Yes, it is now a dead mouse.

Here he is with his little sister, her name is

MiniMouse.

Hard to believe they are the same age, isn't it.
They have 2 more brothers, one is now living with his forever family, and
GoldenBoy decided he was mad, he didn't like the bath,
so he hid in the closet.
Here he is a bit later,
He may have a new home, too, a friend saw his picture on Facebook, and is making sure her husband doesn't object, before saying for sure.
His eyes look blue, like the others, so he may be a blue eyed GoldenBoy.
