THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT by Sibella Giorello

Raleigh Harmon is threatened with suspension from the FBI because of not following the rules on her last case.  Offered a chance to partially redeem herself, she takes an undercover job posing as the niece of a wealthy stable owner.   Horses are winning, then suddenly they are not winning, and are ill, some are dying.
Her first night hidden in the barns, she is almost killed by a horse, when the barn catches fire at their stall.
Will she be able to solve this case without getting herself, or someone else killed?  Will she be able to keep her job with the FBI?  Is she sure she wants to marry her Fiance?

I enjoyed this book, but I think I should have read one of the earlier ones first, I think it would have helped me know what was going on, especially with her trouble with her job.

I was given a copy of this book by Litfuse, to read and review.  No other compensation was given.  All opinions expressed here are my own, I'm not required to give a positive review.
