A MIRACLE OF HOPE, by Ruth Reid

Published by Thomas Nelson
337 pages
An Amish Wonders Novel
Can I give this book about 10 stars?

Josiah Plank lost his wife, the only woman he thought he could ever love.  He is left with a deaf child, 8 year old Hannah, who misses her mother terribly, and his father in law, Simon, who is living on the farm.

Lindie Wyse finds herself in a mess, and her brother, a friend of Josiah, convinces her that she should marry his friend, leaving the only place she has ever lived, and move to a completely foreign area.
A letter from Josiah says he will offer her his name, but not his heart.
Lindie almost backs out when they arrive, but she sees no way to support herself, so she and Josiah get married, then her brother gets back on the bus, heading home, and leaving Lindie in the care of strangers.
Can you imagine yourself in a new place, with not one person you know, a husband who is still in love with his dead wife, and now finds himself ill, and a baby on the way?

Ruth Reid is one of my favorite Authors, her books are clean, and they always are so uplifting, never are they predictable, as some books tend to be, after the author has written a few books.
I think this is my favorite of all her books, so far, but then I say that after every one I read.

I was given a copy of this book by the author, no other compensation was given.  All opinions expressed here are my own, I'm not required to give a favorable review.
