The Compass is a Bible set in what I consider normal language. It makes for easier reading, and then, it also has a detailed summary of what you have just read, with a bit of explaination. I don't know about a lot of people, but to me, some of the Bible, in the KJV form, is a bit hard for me to understand. This, with the summary, is more like following along with someone else while you study, and discussing what you have read, to help understand it.
There are also Historical references which help with the timeline, or did for me.
I only had one small problem, the print was a bit small for me. Of course, at my age, lots of printed material is a bit small for comfortable reading.
I recommend that you look at THE COMPASS and see if it is for you, and give it a chance. I learned a few things, that helped me understand what I was reading, and had read before, but made it much more understandable this time.
I was given a copy of THE COMPASS to read and review. No other compensation was given. I am not required to give a positive review. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I have several translations of the Bible, which help me to understand the meaning, and The Compass sounds useful too.
Aqui estoy otra vez y me sigue encantando,
