This book grabbed me the moment I read the first page, and didn't let go until I finished the last page.
Marielle marries Carson, a widower with 2 young children, she moves into the home of his first wife's family, including the grandmother of his first wife, who owns the home. Adelaide is in her 90s, and thinks the house has a spirit of it's own.
Holly Oak, built in the 1850s, was the scene of several tragic happenings, during the Civil War, and people say that Susannah, the grandmother of Adelaide, is still present in the home in spirit.
I won't spoil this for the reader who loves a good story, so all I can say, is if you love a good mystery, with flashbacks to the past, get this book.
I was given a copy of this book by WaterBrook Press to read and review. No other compensation was given. I'm not required to give a positive review. All opinions expressed here are my own.

I don't know how the heck you are managing to read with everything you have going on! I guess it is a good escape though! Sounds like a great book! xo Diana
