THE ADVENT OF MURDER by Martha Ockley

The Advent of Murder
a Faith Morgan Mystery
By Martha Ockley

Faith Morgan is a former policewoman, who is now a Vicar of Little Worthy, but any time a murder happens nearby, she manages to get involved..  Even when she tries to stay out of the investigation, it seems it draws her in.

I enjoyed this book, it is well written, and no, I couldn't figure out who had killed the young man, who was found in the river. I can usually figure out the murderer before the end of a boos, so this was a good thing for me.   I did have a bit of an issue staying focused during about 30 pages, up to about page 115, but then the story picked up again, and I found myself drawn into the tale.  This goes to prove that even if a book is a bit of a wade through at times, it is worth taking the time to keep reading, to make sure you aren't missing something really good.

I was given a copy of this book by Kregel publications, to read and review.  No other compensation was given.  I'm not required to give a positive review, and all opinions given here are my own.

Sounds like a good book, Jettie. I never think of a woman as being a vicar. Glad you got through the "slow" spot. xo Diana
